Subject: RE: Why no lines at elevators?

Near-north Ontario, French River
In my smaller corner of SW Ontario the harvest has been delayed by wet weather. We can't seem to string more than 2-3 days together before it rains again. Not big rain just enough to stop the soybean harvest. Summer was unusually cool and damp so corn is way behind as well, guys are waiting on the corn to dry a bit more. End users are hungry for grain so elevators are shipping it as soon as its coming in , which as I already said is slow compared to normal. Add all that stuff together and elevators have lots of room, with little chance of plugging . Only ever see lineups around here when things plug, I suspect much of the US midwest and northern grain belts are in a similar situation
