Subject: that would not be good.

Yes we do not need the wind right now.. there is some sorghum starting to go down here also.

Sorry for those who still need more moisture..  Not saying that every thing is rosey.. we still have the last.. 15% of corn to come out.. the double crop beanies yet to go and most of the sorghum.. Wheat sowing is..??  maybe..?? 75% in.. some will need to be replanted now.. some may go plant more now..??

But as is being pointed out by others.. this rain will probably cost more wheat acres then add as some do not have the crops out or the conditions to go back.. "stubble back program." Insurance date for us is the end of the month.. if we get another 2" through tomorrow.. plus..??  cool weather will take longer to dry..  we're at the weekend probably before anything would go.. next week..  hmm  still leaves us 2 weeks.. but as I've said before.  Last year wheat planted on the 25th of October "here" did not emerge until St Patrick's weekend.. so pushing the envelope in order to do much.  We still have about 25% of the Wheaties left to go.. plus whatever will need replanted.. seed is tight.. but still available.

There has been more "stubble back" (both wheat stubble that WAS going to fall crop 2015 as well as 2014 corn stalks.. some beans..) then I anticipated though.. many do not want to pay input costs for Corn or Soybeans at these levels.  Seed costs will be coming down.. or not planted here..  hearing that message LOUD and CLEAR.. Sorghum acreage could expand.. unless a cold wet late fall takes all the fun out of it..

Golly went by a mostly down field of Sorghum today.. yuck!  That's the problem with Sorghum.. it can take all winter to bring in..??  No natural drying conditions and facilities full with other crops to make much room to dry.. We've made some progress on that front but probably not enough yet.. still once this front passes.. should have some time yet..  arrgggh.. nervous.. about the whole situation..

What's everyone's take on Corn progress tomorrow.. 25% if that..??  and Beanies.. halfway yet..???
