There just isn't that much storage available in this part of the world, there might be 750,000 bushels of commercial storage in our county and there are some continuous corn farms around that are yielding as much as they did in 2010, 2011 and 2012 combined. The guys around here who are selling cash corn are doing it because they know there isn't any chance of finding enough storage and so they are dumping it now and I assume buy bushels back on paper or play the board to try and catch some price swings later on. There could very well be corn standing in the field at Christmas time here for the simple reason of there not being anywhere to put it.
