It simply seems more volatile to manage and is more susceptible to leeching.
That and I don't think it's very easy to get a hard number on N content from pit sampling.
For years we struggled with n deficiency on our manure ground. We finally started supplementing additional N and have seen HUGE improvements in yield. So our manure N was defi holding yields back. | |
