I concur here. Having expectations set for each party involved reduces assumptions.
Draw a line between family and business, and keep them seperate.
Dad needs you around for labor for his operation it sounds like; but what else can you bring to the table(operation)?
You have to prove to him as well as yourself that you have the proficiency to make the day to day decisions of what needs to be done, and an understanding of the financial situations that go along with these decisions.
