Question about pivots.

I don't know where it is at , but somewhere I have a picture of my lovely wife standing in a pivot track in a hay field she was swathing. All you can see is her from the waist up. Also deep enough the guy running the other swather got stuck. I'm sure they were about 3' deep, deep enough the tires AND gearboxes had made ruts. We have learned you always hay in a circle, with the tracks-plant, work ground, everything with the tracks and like someone said, fill them in and you have no trouble. Some friends and nieghbors of mine have some new pivots, they've been filling the tracks in with sand so they can hay straight acrossed them, but I'll bet in a couple years they will be haying with the tracks. That field has a linear on it now and the track ain't to bad, yet.
