I have a neighbor who uses the Michelin 1050 metric radial tires to combine, and the smaller ones to road.
Think the hopping while roading at top speed with the large tires is quite normal....
These tires are made to minimize compaction with the extreme load a full combine has to carry in the field, plus they are low pressure tires that are made to maximize the footprint of the tire for maximum floatability. They act like an air cushion, so hopping at top speed will be quite normal.

Just my opinion, your experience may be different
