we have an '89 f250 hd and we had to replace the transfer case. A new one was like 900-1000 dollars and a used or rebuilt one was around 750-800 bucks. We put a used one on it and works fine. If its the heavy duty transfer case, then that price seems right. We didn't have to pay for freight or nothing, local place, but that would be alot after you add everything up.
