There was a recall on some of them, the wagon I ran had 2000 hrs on it when another guy started running it. That year (so it probably had around 2500 hrs) it got a new trans courtesy of Allison, they even came and put it in. Another outfit in the area had another 1095 and they got a new one as well. Other than that I've never had or heard of them being an issue. I don't think that is really one of the weak points on a 1095. We have a local semi retired truck mechanic in the area who really knows his stuff and he told me they should run a long time and were a good transmission.
