Hartung or another company? We grew peas one year. Can't get over the combining rate to ever grow them again. $125 an acre.

Small local company. Farmers prep field and plant with canning companies drill, they take care of spraying and harvesting then pay you for the product.

We grow sweet corn for them too. We plant that and do some of the spraying. They do the rest.

The pea season for them usually starts end of June and goes until early August then they switch over for sweet corn.

When we grew them we had to pay for the seed, custom planting, custom spraying, and harvesting. By the time all that was deducted we would have made more planting oats. This was not including the fertilizer and field prep. The only good that came out of it was the crop rotation and we planted wheat in these fields.
