Kind of reminds me of a story in a pickup magazine, about a conversation between a magazine editor and a rep from either Ford or Dodge. This was when the new duramax engine first was released at 300 ? HP,which was quite a bit more than either Ford or Dodge had at the time. The editor asked the factory rep what they would have to do to match GM's diesel power? The rep said that even more HP was just a computer flash or turn of a screw away, but we are having a hard time keeping 3/4 or 1 ton drive line from being torn up during the warranty period at present HP levels,so he was not eager to turn up the engine . What are they at now,360 or more HP stock?? That used to be a lot of diesel HP in a semi, with driveline to match.
