The key word in your post is "troubleshoot". I've spent nearly a full day in the past trying to figure out why something is doing something it shouldn't. Tech manuals are helpful to a point, but they don't always direct you straight to the problem.
Considering that most shops bill out labor at figures approaching $100 per hour nowadays, I actually think your bill is quite reasonable.
