While what is written about Mato Grosso is true, it doesn't hold true for the southern regions of Brazil where producers have significantly fewer input costs.  But, being a famer myself, I find it hard to just leave land idle for a year. I still think that most will give it a try and plant again this upcoming season. It's in their blood.
