Missouri | Some older farmers and/or landowners here often want their ground to go to younger guys. When you're young, still work for a living, and are constantly busy with kids the two social circles hardly ever clash. Older farmers still read the newspaper, and it's cheap, so I don't see what the harm in them throwing their name out there is. Then again, I've found the 80-90 year old farmer's definition of "young farmer" isn't exactly young. I guess I'd much rather read the "young farmer" adds than the "paying top dollar" or "I'll raise your rent" adds. |
