Yes I started out with clamps for PVC and they were a little bit sloppy these fit real snugly over the hose. Best thing is to take a piece of your hose with you when shopping for conduit clamps.

I've got the reel set so that it does not get into the hose.

Same here push the guards back but pull the wear plates up so it barely touches the knife back.
