IF people figgure thier TRUE costs of owning a combine most of the time a CC is cheaper by a lot. I have a 1680 that is paid for & most of the time I can hire costom cutters cheaper than I than i can do the job myself. Biggest problem is is that when we have down barley they won't try to hard to pick it up. Also IF we want to bale the straw they seem to find every boarder in the field to drop it on.

 I wouldn't want to totally depend on CC's, but I don't have the help to run another machine. Wouldn't mind just hiring  someone to come help with 1 machine.

 I'm planning to hire a few CC's to help this yr, but wish I didn't have to.
