It won't take a 1993 event to reduce corn production enough to put us in the $7-10 range.

Drop planted acres to 84 myn with 10% abandonment and a 148 bpa US yield, and you come up with 11.1 byn bushels, one billion less than the first "pre-estimate" last month.....

That leaves you with MINUS 240 myn bushels on sept 1, 2009

In the 1993 event, Iowa alone had a one year DROP in production of 1.023 billion bushels of corn (1.903 vs. 880)

Nope, you don't want a 1993 event at all.....
