N.W. Illinois | I was actually told not to mix the two many years ago by a Monsanto DSM when Harness was first released.
A google search does bring up some old articles stating the labels advise not to mix 2,4-D and acetochlors, I don't know what the labels say now. Here is one article I found. Read point 3.

The temps all spring have been exceptionally cold, as predicted by every long term forecast. With very cold temps come very cold rain. The cold temps allowed the 2,4-D to stick around much longer then normal. The cold rain moved the 2,4-D and Volley ATZ into the seedling plants growing zone. With this in mind 2,4-D should have never been recommended or used.
