S.E. Iowa
We use it alot I highly doubt if they didnt know it was sewage sludge they would even say anything. As far as heating it that probably means it was anerobically digested. We used it on my farm for the first time 15 years ago and the neighbors threw a fit. I went and met with the neighbors. They said do you know what is in that stuff? I said yes. They ranted about all the poisons. I explained the process and I when I left I had a splitting headache from the thick cigarette smoke {they really cared about the poisons}. I figured how much lead was in the sludge and it was less than 3 shot gun shell worth spread over 76 acres. They would not say anything to the guy putting on Furidan 30 feet from their house. I always said I wanted to get the citys honey wagon with the citys name on the side suck water out of the creek and apply it "illegally" all over.
