Another change you could make would be go the the 1572 Dawns with the coulter out front. That's what I have on my planter. We have an 894 corn head with fluted rolls. I was planning on disking because I wanted to ridge this pivot, but I wasn't happy with the way it was working. Shifted over and planted in between, like you. With the coulter cutting out front, I didn't have to move as much stuff with the row cleaners.
