I have a 16r30 and a 7230. That's pushing it without brake steering. I used to have an 8r30 and put the 986 on because 3 point turns was getting old. I plant 120 ft. Headlands now so I have enough room to turn around like a light bulb using a 60' sprayer.
That's one of my very few gripes about that tractor.
