| The soils books I've studied say that soil tests for micros generally don't match crop responses to added micros. That most of the time the soil tests are better at extracting the micros than the plants, but in some cases like sulfur ISU says they find no correlation between soil tests and crop responses to added sulfur and I think that's sure to be more evident with chloride and sodium which together are table salt, not a strong need and a compound that when the irrigation water is from the ocean, a compound that kills the crop.
