East Central Iowa | Your tire size is important to this "answer". Usually 3-5% difference is what i've been told is "okay". I'm going to give my 2 cents based on what I know about wheel loaders. Most loaders transmission output shaft is a solid through shaft in the transmission. So both output shafts to the axles turn together, no forgiveness. With different sized tires front vs rear, one axle set of tires is going to turn at a different rpm. So my answer is yes, they will fight each other wear the tires ect.... Also, i've seen pinion shafts get twisted off if there is extreme difference and in just the right conditions. Probably won't happen, but on concrete, max traction, hard pull.........somethings got to give if everything isn't spinning together. | |
