E.Central MN | Drove from Hutchinson to New Ulm to Mountain Lake then back thru Sleepy Eye and Hector to Cosmos on Sat. Field conditions looked good in the St James to Mt Lake area, they're always dryer than we are in the spring. Surprisingly very few fields had been worked up, only a couple planters were going. None of the fields north of there looked fit to plant. Doubt anyone will be in the fields for two or three weeks, depending on when it stops raining and starts to dry out. Looks like the spring monsoons will be with us for a while. I wonder how much this will affect road restrictions... | |
