Subject: RE: Soybean population

Southwest Iowa
I am going to agree with Buck

We're doing some trials this year with bean populations. I used to plant 180 ish just a few years ago til I messed up and only planted 160 one night. They beat the higher pops

Last year I planted 155 and they were just as good, so this year we are pulling out all the stops and are going to do a 4 acre plot of beans from 70,000 up to 160,000.

I will plant most of my regular fields in that 135-145 range. This population plot has me excited to see what happens. I believe that we can achieve good yields in that 90-100,000 range in my part of the country. Just going to try it and see what happens
