Napanee, Ontario | Because we were waiting for this day. Because it's not that easy to switch over a few hundred head cattle operation to chase some row crop profits for a cpl years, then swtich back. Because evenetually markets rule out. As they are doing right now. Because we sell a commodity, just like you grain guys do. Eventually the market has to pay a fair price to producers of that commodity, or their won't be any commodity produced. The people that can be efficent enough and hold on long enough, get to reap the rewards for their patience, vs others that threw in the towel.
So here is the reward: We are making good money selling feeders at these prices. Likely will only be for a cpl years, then we get back to lower profits - just like you grain guys are finding out that trees don't grow to the sky forever either.
