I've attached a picture of my pasture layout below. I have 6 rectangular paddocks side by side. Each paddock is divided into 4 smaller paddocks with a polywire fence that I move each day. So that gives me 24 paddocks in the main system, plus I have 3 additional ones close to the barn. So I normally go 27 days before grazing the first paddock again. In the spring flush, I bring in heifers and dry cows to keep ahead of the growth and usually have a 16 day regrowth period. My water system is a 1" line that runs up the middle (3 large paddocks on each side). It then has 3/4" branches that go to the additional waterers. The waterers are indicated by the red dots in the picture. There are 3 more at the top of the picture that are not shown. So there are 12 water tanks in total. Each one holds 150 gallons. The yellow shows the size of what the cows eat in one day.
