At 24", your best bet would be to make it as hay and then start grazing when it has regrown to 10". If that is not possible, I would divide it out so that you can get it all grazed over the next two weeks. In other words, I would divide your 20 acres into 5 acre paddocks, and let them run over each one for 3 or 4 days.
