Subject: Question about intensive grazing

Have a question about intensive grazing. Have been dividing pasture for yrs. & letting them eat one lot then turn them loose in the next. But, this yr. I'm wanting to really go into intensive grazing & rotate them from lot to lot.
My question is Fescue grass is about 24" tall & starting to headout. turned 25/cows & 12/calves on a 20/acre pasture that I divided into 4th's with electric fence. How short should I let them graze it down? Also, did put on 40# actual N on all of it. Should I graze it down to 3" or lower?
Thanks!
