Byron has a Beneficial endophyte variety, BarOptima PLUS E34 Non toxic and yield trials showed 30% yield increase. Went to a seminar last fall on replacing toxic Fescue, very impressive. Other companies have beneficial endophyte varieties also. I've just been happy with Byron, my personal choice. You can put fescue with alfalfa.
