I'm curious, why are you tired of grazing fescue? Have you tried any of the endophyte free varieties? Try Kora Tall Fescue from Byron Seeds, very impressive. For a grazing alfalfa use the KingFisher 403CR. It is a creeping alfalfa that spreads by rhizomes so when under pressure it sends out a new shoot so its great for grazing or high traffic areas- yield wont quite be what you would get with a regular alfalfa but for grazing it well take it a lot better.
