NE Iowa | We have a bin that when built had no stirrators and a low temp fan. Used the burner the first couple years but quit. Using the burning would cut the drying time considerably but the bottom was very overd-dried. Also, seemed like the $$/point moisture was more with the burner then without. Without the burner the top will be 15-16% mositure and the bottom will be 13-14% moisture. When we used the low temp burner the top would be 15-16% and the bottom would be down to 10%. I'd stick with just the fans but make sure you have plenty of cfm/bu. | |
