Traits like herbicide families eventually run their course. Usually something involved in allowing the organism to take in the pesticide makes it less effective unless you continually increase rates until it's no longer practical. A lot of this comes from overuse/misuse, but it's more or less an eventuality. Frankly we've had a great run and roundup is still an excellent grass killer. My hope is that tech fee's go down as other traits and chemistries come on line. Tank mixing and managing herbicide application and timing is nothing new unless you started farming recently. It's really not so bad.

Herdboar - the trait isn't your issue, its the variety of corn and it's composition. Inserting traits is a messy process and it's completely possible that the nutritional value is changed somewhat (different hybrids have different nutritional values anyway). Probably wouldn't show anywhere else than a livestock system where feed efficiency is being tracked very closely (one of those necessities with high priced corn). People still get plenty fat on gmo corn chips and it's not like I need to eat more to gain weight (though it would be nice).
