western iowa,by Denison
the 8120 is set wide for baling, windrowing, and general stuff, the 7600 I can leave on the planter hooked up as I will still be planting corn after rye silage-Adam's drill was a new used drill last year-I think its a 2005 model, when he goes to drill beans he usually doesn't get back till the end of June-we also have used the 15ft drill to custom if I get caught up-2 years ago we drilled 1000 acres custom with the 15ft drill -I don't have any guidance, just watch where I was and look for the drill mark-And Adam is rite=not much to running a box drill-seed in box and go-can drill 30-40 acres between fills and can run 8mph all day-the 8120 runs echo tunning chip-it cost $2100 ,we have the tractor set at 280 hp-it use;s less fuel now and has great torque-it will use a lot of fuel if you work it extremely hard-basicly use it for pto work, pulling large Mcfardland harrow and manure hauling-put about 1100 hours a year on that tractor as I have the 3pt off and is the easiest tractor to hook and unhook
May and June are tough month's For Adam and I-have seriously thought about giving up the custom drilling as we are both wore out by July
