Buxton ND
Sheep I DO NOT have an agenda,I'm a small time farmer in eastern ND that enjoys watching and paying attention to the markets ! ! ! I enjoy learning from others in here. BUT there are those that talk their book. I usually post what I'm doing, normally before i do it and at what price, unless I'm super busy

2011 crop I was bearish then too,BUT VERY early bearish...had 80% of 2012 crop sold (futures) BEFORE I harvested the 2011. My term of early sales I think is a lot different then many in here.
2011 I was bearish
2012 I've been super bearish for basically 3 reason
1. The length of time corn futures have been OVER $6 leading to increases in world production....
2. Watching fund monies
3. Watching those fund monies LAST spring and summer....... If we would have had trend lines yields from the 2012 crop,,,corn would have VERY EASILY traded to $3............ Some will say looking back at last year mean NOTHING,but IMO it does, WHY ? because a "sat" watching corn rally late June early July like $1.50 ON NOTHING BUT SHORT COVERING,,,aka open interest dropping as prices rose. For many with more experience then I,,,that was a HUGE WTF that corn could rally so much on short covering... So the way I see it,,,it was very clear that the traders (big and small) had there eyes on lows of 2008-09-10 aka give or take $3,double aka thing PFBest
