Subject: RE: john deere 3800 telehandler

Alberta, Canada
The 3800 is the articulated model. Came out with the 3220 and 3420 rigid frames. The 3200 and 3400 were the preceding rigid frames.
The 3800 has 117 Engine Hp, while the 3420 has 120/125 Engine Hp.
The 3800 has a 5/3 powershift, while the 3420 has a 4/4 powershuttle syncro.

To be honest, I don't remember the lift-heights/capacities of these things, but I'm pretty sure that the 3800's capacity is in between the 3220 and 3420.

Unless it was dirt cheap(the 3400), I think I'd only be interested in the 3800.

I agree with Russ, a 3830 would have been real nice, but Deere decided to take the easy way out again.
