Exact way I got started, bought my first baler when I was 14, did custom work thru HS, bought heifers my senior yr in HS, just slowly but truly, that was 24 yrs ago, I still do custom work, but I picked up some more ground this winter and am now up to 750 acres of my own, and still doing the custom work for extra cashflow. Takes time, patience and get used to lots of hurdles and roadblocks.
