| I saw on here someone said "tie up" their nitrogen with a stabilizer. I have this conversation with my customers quite frequently. When you're using a nitrapyrin (ie. Instinct/NServe) you are not tying up your nitrogen, you are simply holding it in the ammonium form(NH4+ which is a plant available form of N) which is positively charged and prevents leaching N from leaching into the tiles. So, whether pre-palnt or side-dress, you're protecting that nitrogen from leaching, NOT tying it up. | |
