W. Canada | Isn't that all they want you to be? Farmer implies you doing all the work and all the decision making.
A grower however only grows and relies on someone else for consultation and management. My point is that it is seems to me as if we are encouraging greater dependency on the knowledge of others to make decisions instead of being educated to be independent and use our own knowledge to make decisions.
So basically by relying on all our suppliers on telling us what to do, we are ending up being only growers instead of farmers.
I am still quite young, but I am currently pursuing a degree in agriculture and that is the impression I am getting.
