I plan to thin one plot of 12 year old pine trees and clear cut some plots with older trees. Sooner or later it will get dry enough to harvest the trees without too much bogging of the Hydro Ax and Skidder. After the logging operation I plan to do some site prep, burn the debris and apply herbicide on the clear cut plots.

Are you going to put land back in production? Reason for asking is I also have 12 year old pines and some a tad older. Trying to decide if I want to clear cut it if I get to that point and take out the stumps and put it back into farming or replant it into trees.
