There is literally a mountain of money going to R&D for early maturing cool season soybean varieties for western Canada. Soybeans are where canola was 20 years ago as far as breeding goes for Western Canada...

Canola has occupied 10% of our rotation the past 3 three years. It used to 40%....to even 50% if the price was that magical $400. All those acre went to soybeans.
