New Mexico | by most measures is Dona Ana County, New Mexico.
( irrigated below a resevoir on the Rio Grande called Elephant Butte )
Pecans, almonds, fruits, other nuts, cotton, chiles etc, etc ,etc.
TX, CA, and FL all have counties in the Big 5 for usa agri too.
( keep in mind, People really do not eat much yellow dent corn )
