Most people do not seem to understand that the crop insurance date everyone gets so concerned about is for replant coverage only. It does not impact in season coverage. In other words - my magic date is 4-11. But if I plant on 3-27 like I did last year I have not negated my insurance coverage, only the coverage for replant.
If the conditions and the forecast are similar to last year we WILL plant early. | |
