Subject: Re: Those tuff times ~

Tommy - 2/19/2013 10:46 Everybody has different goals. So it boils down to whatever works for you. My stance alone--just sharing: You don't necessarily have to "spend nothing and have millions when you die". An alternative would be to do without for just a while until you can pay CASH (for toys, vehicles, trips, etc) and then, when times toughen up AS THEY WILL you don't have payments. The different between youth and maturity isn't age, its INSTANT GRATIFICATION. As a sidenote: an "extra" is sweeter when you've sacrificed to achieve it. Anyone can sign up for payments.

Can't argue with your reasoning Tommy -
The nice thing about your financial philosophy, if followed - when times get tuff, and they will, you should have cash on hand to take advantage of "buys" that others will not be able too.
Who was it (big wig rich investor) that said, ~ buy, when there's blood in the streets, sell when the shoeshine guy is giving buying advice ~
Likely, twice (hopefully not more), in ones life time, there will be economic problems out of a persons control - they better be ready when those times roll around . . . .  . .
