Sunnyside, WA | I agree with everything you are saying except feeding the non bred cows until they are fat. I can never seem to make that feed conversion work.
While I am sure that bst and sexed semen have something to do with the excess heifers, i think most of those heifers come from the fact that all dairymen, regardless of size, realized that they had to do a lot better job raising heifers. | |
