NW IL, Mercer County
We have a couple of Dow test plots on our farm. We pay for the herbicide and fertilizers. One test plot is a silage trial so they weigh everything then dump it all back on the ground. Each block is 1/1000th of an acre so 17'5". The other test plot they harvest the grain and let us have it. Kind of a pain as they change the size of the plots if they need too and one plot is conventional corn, but they pay very lucrative rent. I wish they would rent the rest of the farm from us!
