Subject: I think the best move might be to go to a court mediator

West Union, Illinois

behog - ...I am considering suing the church for my cow, the gate, and loss of income.  What do you think?
I think even if you win you will lose in the long run.  Nothing ever comes to any good suing a church ... even a bad church.

I think the best move might be to go to a court mediator. From http://www.courts.state.md.us/district/forms/civil/dccv001br.html

The District Court’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program may be helpful. Mediation is less formal than going to court, and is more likely to result in a win-win solution, rather than one party winning and the other party losing. If you and your opponent attempt mediation, but cannot reach an agreement, you still have the right to proceed to court. For further information about mediation, see the brochure Mediation – Is Going to Trial Your Best Option? – Alternative Dispute Resolution. You can also call the District Court's Alternative Dispute Resolution office at 410-260-1676 or 1-866-940-1729 for further information

See the mediator web site at http://www.courts.state.md.us/district/adr/home.html
