West Central MN | We only haul our required share bushels to CVEC. I can say that we have had a couple loads there over the years get docked for FM. Also, their moisture is always much lower than any other elevator in the area we go to and is even lower than our home tester. I just always assumed their tester was wrong and everybody else was right. Who knows. The plant is going to build their own receiving facility this summer so will be interesting to see what changes when that is up and running.
We take the rest of our corn to Poet in Big Stone City, SD. Usually very fast unloading and they allow up to 15.5 % percent moisture and you have to be hauling in almost all fines to get docked for FM there. Usually their basis is really, really good and beats everyplace else around but they are bought up pretty well at the moment so they are lower right now. | |
