If you are interested in buying individual stocks I think you are better off doing it on your own through TD Ameritrade or somthing like it. Edward Jones will charge you around 50 bucks to get in and out where as TD Ameritrade is only $10. Many times you can get so many trades for free if you are new. Just a thought.
