In regards to the unit...I have had mine for 10 years. Runs like a champ, minimal expense beyond regular maintenance. The cab is still tight and quiet, and with the air ride, is a comfortable ride. Just got home this afternoon from a trip to southern Indiana, at 65 MPH I am turning 1500 rpm in 10th gear.
I drove Volvo's when I drove for hire; personally like them. your quoted price should be well with what I would expect to pay for a good truck of that vintage.
